Rance C. Partridge

Rance C. Partridge, Clarks Mills (Perry Twp.) passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at his residence of injuries sustained in a logging accident.  He was 75.

He was born in Clarks Mills on February 27, 1940 a son of the late Joseph Vance and Mary Imelda Montgomery Partridge.  On August 5, 1961 he married the former Mary Bartholomew who survives at home.  Rance was a life long farmer and had been employed by the former Cooper Bessemer Co. of Grove City from which he had retired.  He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing and working on his property.  He was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to his wife of 54 years, he is survived by a daughter, Cathy Partridge of Punta Gorda, Florida; a granddaughter, Kristina E. Brown of Bradford, Pa.; two sisters, Mary Jane Cresswell, Mercer and Phyllis Hrick, Tucson, Ariz. and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Vance C. Partridge; a daughter Melissa S. Partridge,; two sisters, Ruth Partridge and Shirley Durham; and two brothers, Joseph Partridge, Herbert Partridge and John Partridge.

The funeral and committal service will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Timothy Bowser, pastor of the Sheakleyville United Methodist Charge officiating.  The interment will follow at the Sheakleyville Cemetery, Sandy Creek Twp.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 – 8:00 pm and are invited to share memories and condolences with the family online at www.snyderfh.com. 

The family has suggested that memorial tributes may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105
