Ruby I, (Yoder) Shellenberger

Ruby I. Shellenberger, Cochranton (Fairfield Twp.) passed away at the Park Avenue Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at 8:06 pm on Saturday, November 19, 2016.  She was 75.

She was born in Meadville, on February 6, 1941 a daughter of the late Roman J. and Emma J. (Cramer) Yoder.  On November 13, 1959 she married Joseph E. Shellenberger who survives.  She was a homemaker and a mother.  Ruby was a member of the Sunnyside Mennonite Church, Conneaut Lake.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joseph E. Shellenberger, Sr., Cochranton; 2 sons, Joseph E. Shellenberger, Jr and his wife Christine of Mobile, Alabama, Austin Lloyd Shellenberger and his wife Bernardita of Cochranton; two daughters, Tonja Lee Stoll and her husband Walter Sposkoski of Townville and Terry Jean Kope of Sandy Lake; Two brothers, Robert Yoder of Georgia and Richard Yoder of New York; Two Sisters, Susie Yoder of North Carolina and Jane Bittner of Iowa;   12 grandchildren, Tamara Stoll Ropp, Brett Stoll, Katie Lane, Rose Lane,  Joseph E. Shellenberger, III, Joanna Robinson, Zembria Shellenberger, Shakira – Lynn Shellenberger, David Simpson, Jr., Travis Griffen, Brian J. Kope and Lakken Kope and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 8 siblings.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Rev. Timothy Bowser, pastor of the Sheakleyville United Methodist Church officiating.  The interment and committal service will follow at the Greenfield Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm time of service and may share memories and condolences online at snyderfh.com
