Warren Shaw Obituary

Warren R. Shaw of Greenville passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. He was 80.

Warren was born in Emlenton, PA on February 23, 1942, to the late William S. and Hazel Jeanette (Lawrence) Shaw. On June 12, 1965, he married the former Elaine E. Baughman who survives at home. Warren worked for Greenville Steel Car for 23 years before owning his own business, Sha-Co Welding and Fabrication, which he operated for 35 years before retiring.

In his younger years, Warren coached Greenville Little League. He also took on responsibility for fund raising for Greenville Midget Football. He was very supportive of the Greenville Football program when his sons played, never missing a game or practice. Warren was an avid Steelers fan and loved sprint car racing. He was a member of the Greenville Coin Club and enjoyed the companionship of his Pomeranian dogs. Warren had served honorably with the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife and his children, Michael R. and Cherie Shaw of Jamestown and Robert W. Shaw of Oxford, PA; and three grandchildren, Caitlin Smolnik of Greenville, and Mason R. Shaw and Garrett M. Shaw of Camp Hill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Van A. Shaw and a sister, Velma J. Summerville.
