Sondra Kasbee Obituary

Sondra M. Kasbee, Sandy Lake passed away Thursday morning, October 1, 2020 at the Sugar Creek Station, Franklin.  She was 83.

She was born in Grove City on June 18, 1937 a daughter of the late Sam and Katherine (Weaver) Brest.  On December 29, 1956 she married Wayne G. Kasbee who preceded her in death on September 16, 2018.  Sondra had been employed through the years at the former Talon, Choice Products, Mowry Meat Packing Plant and the MaC McKean’s Slaughter House.  She was also a homemaker raising her 5 children.  She was a dedicated member of the Sandy Lake Presbyterian Church where had sang in the choir.                                      

Sondra is survived by her children, Brenda Scofield and husband Raymond of Sandy Lake, Vickie Kerr of Sandy Lake, Teresa Spalding of San Antonio, TX, Michael Kasbee and wife Rhonda of Sandy Lake, and Darlene “Peanut” Wendrock and significant other Michael Szymanski of Sandy Lake, grandchildren Jessica and Justin Scofield, Jesse and Ryan Kerr, Alex, Nick and Katie Spalding, Mariah and Kristin Kasbee, and Jonathan Wendrock, great-grandchildren Annayka Scofield, Evangeline Kerr and Brynn Kerr as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son-in-law Brian Kerr.

For those who are comfortable in attending a Celebration of Sondra’s life will be held at the Sandy Lake Presbyterian Church, 3461 Sandy Lake – New Lebanon Road, Sandy Lake on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Beth Creekpaum officiating.  She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Oak Hill Cemetery.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville.  Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.snyderfh.com    Social distancing and the wearing of masks is requested.
