Shirley J. (Pressler) Fry

Shirley J. Fry, Perry Twp., Hadley passed away at 8:36 pm on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the Clepper Manor, Sharon following a period of failing health.  She was 87.

Shirley was born in Salem Twp. on May 10, 1933, a daughter of the late William Ralph and Eva P. (Hoobler) Pressler.  On March 16, 1950 she married her husband of 66 years, Leo W. Fry who had preceded her in death on April 30, 2016. She had owned and operated a ceramic shop in Sheakleyville for over 38 years.  She was an avid painter and enjoyed making porcelain dolls. Her collection of porcelain dolls numbered over 250.  She was a member of the Sheakleyville United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her two children, Robert Fry, Greenville and Melissa Fry, Erie; a sister Patricia Chess, Greenville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Leo.

Private family services were held at the Hadley Cemetery Chapel on Saturday, August 1, 2020 with Pastor Theresa Robison of the Sheakleyville United Methodist Church officiating.  Shirley was laid to rest next to her beloved husband of 66 years.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family online at www.snyderfh.com.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert L.
