Ruth E. Ridgway, Greenville, Sugar Grove Twp. passed away Sunday evening, March 10, 2024, at the St. Vincent Health Center, Erie. She was 59.
She was born in Greenville on January 9, 1965, a daughter of the late John F. and Ruth M. (Hetrick) Kristyak. She was a 1982 graduate of Commodore Perry High School and was a homemaker. Ruth married Drew L. Ridgeway, who survives. She enjoyed her animals, which included her horses, chickens, goats, and cats. She enjoyed four-wheel riding, loved her family, gardening, and canning. Ruth loved her Lord and Savior and enjoyed sharing her Christian faith with others.
She is survived by her husband, Drew; two daughters, Kristin (Michael) Emmett, Greenville, and Katie (Robbie) Robello, Clarksville TN.; 4 sisters, Cindy (James) Baird, Jamestown, Laurrie (Albert) Nottingham, Adamsville, Valerie Gilmore, Greenville and Crystal Azzarello and her companion, Brian Mody, Greenville; two brothers, John (Joanne) Kristyak, Hadley and George Kristyak and his companion, Cindy Gravatt, Cochranton; two grandchildren, Cassidy and Justin Smeltzer, a great-grandson, Cauis, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruth Kristyak, a daughter, Candace Marie Gran, a brother, Thomas S. Kristyak, a sister, Marcia A. Azzarello, a sister-in-law, Tina Kristyak and a nephew, Joshua Kristyak.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 12:00 PM at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Rev. Jeremy McClain, pastor of Harvest Baptist Church officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Sheakleyville Cemetery. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM with an additional visitation on Saturday from 11:00 AM to Noon.
