Ruby Evelyn Dodds, Greenville, Salem Twp. passed away early Thursday morning, March 21, 2024 at St. Paul’s Senior Living, Greenville. She was 86.
She was born in East Fallowfield Twp. on May 22, 1937, a daughter of the late George and Erna (Powell) Pfaff. She was a graduate of Conneaut Lake High School and in her early years worked at Westinghouse Electric. On September 8, 1956, she married Lawrence C. Dodds, Sr. who preceded her in death on November 13, 2009. After her marriage she was a homemaker, raising her three children and actively working with her husband on the family farm. Mrs. Dodds was a member of the Country Chapel, Kennard, where she was actively involved in many of the church activities and served as the treasurer for nearly 50 years.
She is survived by her children, Victory E. Dodds, Greenville, Lawrence C. Dodds, Jr., Greenville, and George E. Dodds, Greenville, a granddaughter, Kayla Dodds; a great-grandson, Jackson Albright; two sisters, Pauline Freese, Greenville and Linda Greenfield, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and two sisters, Louise Walker and Joan Pfaff.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville. Mrs. Dodds will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Rocky Glen Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, March 24, 2024, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM.
