Robert L. McEwen, Fredonia passed away on Wednesday afternoon, July 7, 2021 at the UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. He was 55.
He was born in Greenville on December 11, 1965 a son of Ronald L. and Bonnie J. (Williams) McEwen. Bob was a 1984 graduate of the Reynolds High School and went onto be employed by J.C. Moore, Industries, Wagner Meat Processing and Morrison Lawn Care. In his later years, he was the resident manager of maintenance for the Geraldine Apartments and operated McEwen Lawn Care. He was a member of the Fredonia Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed all sports and was an avid follower of the L.A. Rams, the Pittsburgh Pirates and Notre Dame. He enjoyed the outdoors where he could be found fishing or riding his 4 wheeler.
He is survived by his mother, Bonnie Sweitzer, Fredonia; a sister, Traci McEwen, Hermitage; a nephew, Joshua McEwen and his wife Jodee, Fredonia, a niece, Tara Kopp, Fredonia; his former wife Joan, Fredonia and 5 special nieces and nephews, Kacie Kopp, Parker Kopp, Hunter Baker, Colton and Easton McEwen.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald L. McEwen, his step father, Glenn Sweitzer; his sister Tammy Lynn Boyce and grandparents, Virgil and Rubie McEwen and Charles N. and Helen L. Williams.
Family and friends may call at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 169 Second Street, Fredonia on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 pm and on Monday at the Fredonia Presbyterian Church, Water Street, Fredonia from 10:00 to 11:00 am where the service will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Eric M. Peters officiating. Bobby will be laid to rest at the Millbank Cemetery. The family has suggested that memorial tribute may be made to the funeral home to assist with the funeral expenses.
