Remus "Dean" Miller Obituary

Remus D. “Dean” Miller, Transfer (Pymatuming Twp.) passed way Tuesday evening, May 4, 2021 in the Emergency Department of the Sharon Regional Health Systems.  He was 64.

Dean as he was known to his family and friends was born in Creston, WV on September 2, 1956 a son of the late Remus and Dorothy (Parsons) Miller.  On March 27, 1976 he married the former Brenda L. Gusman who preceded him in death on February 7, 2000.  He had been employed as a laborer doing foundry work until his having become disabled.

At the age of 16, Dean relocated to the Ashtabula Ohio area and then approx. 10 years ago moved to Mercer County to be near his sons and their families.  He was an avid and staunch supporter of the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians.  He loved to travel back to his West Virginia  roots to visit his family and friends.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and the moments he could share with his family.

He is survived by his two sons, Richard D. Miller and his wife Laurie, Greenville and Brian C. Miller and his wife Teresa, Transfer; two sisters, Arletta (Dean) Davis, Grantsville, WV and Iva Wagner, Grantsville, WV; two brothers, Jerry Miller, Rogers, OH and Wilbur Miller, Rogers, OH; 6 grandchildren, Sawyer (Abbie) Miller, Sydney (Jess) Bowman, Savannah Miller and her boyfriend, Jon Tomlinson, Dylan Miller, Marlea Miller and Colt Miller; two great grandsons, Beau Miller and Luke Miller.  Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Brenda with whom he is now reunited; a sister, Pamela Manefee and a nephew, Charlie Manefee.

Family and friend may call on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 169 Second Street, Fredonia from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. He will be laid to rest next to his wife at the Calcutta Cemetery. E. Liverpool, OH. 

The family has request that casual clothing be worn.
