Pauline D. (Voorhies) Arbuckle

Pauline D. Arbuckle, formerly of Hadley passed away Wednesday evening, November 4, 2020 at the St. Paul’s Senior Living Community, Greenville where she had been a resident.  She was 93.

She was born in Cochranton on January 7, 1927 a daughter of the late Paul and Osta (Dewey) Voorhies.  On April 28, 1945 she married George E. “Gene” Arbuckle who preceded her in death on June 27, 2007. 

Pauline was a homemaker, was an excellent pie maker and always enjoyed making the dough for the fireman’s annual chicken pie dinner and was a member of the neighborhood friendly club.  She was a member of the Sheakleyville United Methodist Church, where she had been an active member for many years.  Pauline was musically inclined and always enjoyed singing in the church choir and the annual cantatas.  She enjoyed writing poetry and through the years was able to have several of her writing published. 

She is survived by two daughters, Donna (George) Tedesco, Meadville and Sharon (Dick) Smith, Conneaut Lake; two son’s Rick (Diane) Arbuckle, Greenville and Randy (Becky) Arbuckle, Guys Mills; 4 grandchildren, Travis (Lori) Tedesco, Pittsburgh, Jeremy (Lisa) Tedesco, Leesburg, VA, Kelly (Robert) Irion, Ft. Myers, Fl and Rebecca Arbuckle, Greenville;  8 great grandchildren, Olivia and Ava Irion, Josiah, Seraphina, Elias, Isaac and Magdalena Tedesco and Zia Tedesco.

Pauline appreciated the care that was extended to her by the loving staff of the St. Paul’s Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her siblings, Bob Voorhies, Helen Vath, Evelyn Peterson, Phyllis Schrock, Betty Everton and Tom Voorhies.

For those comfortable in attending the funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Rev. Theresa Robison, officiating.  She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the New Lebanon Cemetery.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The family has suggested that memorial tributes may be made to the Sheakleyville United Methodist Church to the St. Paul’s Home, Greenville.
