Paul E. Gill, Sr.

Paul E. Gill, Sr., Greenville (Hempfield Twp.) passed away at the UPMC, Horizon, Greenville on Friday afternoon, April 23, 2021.  He was76.

He was born in Greenville on Nov. 24, 1944 a son of the late Arthur F. and Elizabeth (Davis) Gill. He had been married to the former Sylvia Arlene Deets who proceeded him in death on Dec. 26, 1991.  Paul had been retired after many years as an over the road truck driver.

He is survived by 4 sons, Paul E. Gill, II and his wife Laleta Harshbarger, Greenville,  Herman E. Brocklehurst, Mercer, Albert H. Brocklehurst, Greenville and Richard D. Brocklehurst and his wife Sharon, Zanesville, OH.; 2 daughters, Muriel Lynn Barabas, Greenville and Dora A. Haun, Greenville; 2 brothers, Robert P. Gill and his wife Kathy, Cochranton and Thomas R. Gill and his wife Cathy, NC; 3 sisters, Elizabeth Kirkpatrick, Jamestown, Sheila Brocklehurst and her husband Pete, Greenville and Nancy Barnes, Atlantic;  9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sylvia; 3 brothers, Arthur Gill and Wesley Gill; 2 sisters, Gladys Swogger and Susan Nashtock, 4 infant siblings, Ida Bernice, twins, Mary Francis and Winifred and James Fermie Gill.

Family and friends may call at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM.  Private family services will follow and will be live streamed through www.snyderfh.com under Paul’s obituary at 7:00 PM.   He will be laid to rest next to his wife at the Shenango Valley Cemetery.
