Martha Vaughn Obituary

Martha R. Vaughn, Fredonia formerly of Perry Twp. passed away at 1:15 am on Friday, February 7, 2020 at the Greystone Country Estates, Fredonia.  She was 91.

Martha was born in Greenville on Nov. 27, 1928 a daughter of the late Alpha and Blanche (Williamson) Ray.  On Feb. 13, 1954 she married Howard Vaughn who had preceded her in death on June 8, 1992.  She had been employed by the former Westinghouse Electric, Sharon and the former Lean’s Bakery, Greenville.  She was a member of the Kennard United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing board games and working on jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by a son, Glenn R. Vaughn and his wife Lori, Clarks Mills; two grandchildren, Matthew Vaughn and Stephanie Vaughn, Clarks Mills; a sister, Janet Roberts and her husband Donald, Saegertown and a brother, Donald Ray, Kennard along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Reed Ray and Charles Ray and 4 sisters, Eleanor Mitchell, Doris Crist, Norma Youngs and Wanda Pederson.

The family will be honoring Martha’s life with a private family service and she will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Hadley Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville.
