Lucille Ann (Young) Latshaw, Greenville, Hempfield Twp. went home to be with Jesus, following a short illness, Saturday December 31, 2022 at the age of 79.
Lucy was born November 1, 1943 in Everett, Pa to Paul and Louise Young. She was a 1961 Graduate of Johnstown High School and attended Johnstown Dietary College and Northeast Bible College. She married David B. Latshaw on July 24, 1965.
Lucy loved to cook and bake (especially for the men of the Hope Center in Greenville, PA). She was pianist and lead singer of the gospel trio The Jubilettes, as well as an accomplished pianist/organist/soloist for her husband's pastorates in Norristown, Hanover, and Maysville, PA. She loved and was quite gifted at crafts, painting, sewing, and gardening, and she owned/operated her own craft store while in Hanover, PA.
She faithfully attended Bethel Life Worship Center in Greenville, PA under Rev. Kent Bell, and lived out her life as a follower of Jesus.
Lucy was a loving wife, mother, nana, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Amy Lynn. She is survived by her husband, David, daughters Christy Joy (Bill) Lenzi, and Laura Lynn (Matthew) Coxson, grandchildren Victoria, Veronica, Lael, and Ellis, and a great-grandaughter, Hailey.
Services will be held Friday January 6, 2023 at 2:00 at Bethel Life Worship Center,246 S Mercer St. Greenville, PA 16125.
