Loma J. (Anderson) McClure

Loma J. McClure, Fredonia (Fairview Twp.) passed away at 8:28 am on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at the UPMC Horizon, Greenville.  She was 93.

Loma was born in Fredonia on May 3, 1927 a daughter of the late Clyde C. and Marjorie (Slater) Anderson.  On February 17, 1946 she married Andrew J. McClure who preceded her in death on November 5, 1997.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Fredonia Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Andrea Philson and her husband Bruce, Mercer; three sons, Michael McClure, Fredonia, Bruce McClure and his wife Anya, Shrewsbury and Brian McClure and his wife Patty, Fredonia; 6 Sisters, Ina Cadman, Greenville, Patsy Munnell and her husband James, Fredonia, Marjorie Anderson and her husband Sam, Bradenton, FL, Joan Ringer, Fredonia, Carol Seidle and her husband Don, Fredonia and Mary Jane Shearer and her husband Tom, Fredonia.  11 grandchildren, Colleen Parker, Brent McClure, Teresa Sipe, Alexis McClure, Chad Glunt, Craig Glunt, Amanda Zeigler, Gregory McClure, Michael McClure, Brandon McClure and Kira Euard; 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; a daughter, Roxanne Lee Buchanan; a son, Steven R. McClure; a brother, Clifford “Bud” Anderson and two sisters, Evelyn Musgrove and Dorothy Osborn.

For those comfortable in attending, the family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and on Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the Fredonia Presbyterian Church, Water Street, Fredonia.  The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the church with Rev. Eric M. Peters officiating.  She will be laid to rest next to her husband  at the Millbank Cemetery.
