Linda L. (Padula) Connell

Linda L. Connell, Greenville formerly of Perry Twp. passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2021 at the UPMC Passavant, McCandless. She was 79.

Linda was born in New Castle on February 27, 1942, a daughter of the late Nicholas A. and Mary E. (Ciao) Padula.  She was a graduate of the New Castle High School and went onto attend Slippery Rock (College) University where she was awarded her Bachelor of Science in Education. Following her graduation from Slippery Rock College she was employed as an elementary education teacher at Commodore Perry where she met her husband Donald L. Connell who she married on August 20, 1966.  Following her marriage, Linda retired from teaching in 1967 to begin raising her children.  Linda had a passion for theater and had been the theater director for Commodore Perry School District until 1993, during this time she also began to develop and operate her own theater company, Moonlight Summer Theater which she continued to operate until her retirement in 1997.  She was of the Roman Catholic faith.

Linda is survived by her husband Donald, Greenville; a daughter, Michelle (Shelli) L. Eisenman, Tionesta; a son Aaron D. Connell, New Castle; a brother, Nicholas Padula, Winter Haven, Fl and 6 grandchildren, Hunter, Kirin, Ian and Connor Bean and Gwendolynn and Helaina Connell.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville.  Private family services will be held on Friday with John Kerr, family friend officiating.  Linda will be laid to rest at the Hadley Cemetery.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.snyderfh.com
