Lena R. Weaver, Jamestown formerly of Cochranton passed away peacefully on Monday evening, June 7, 2021 at the UPMC Hamot, Erie. She was 71.
Lena was born in Middlefield, OH. on June 14, 1949 a daughter of the late Reuben and Savilla (Byler) Miller. On June 3, 1971 she married Albert S. Weaver and together just celebrated 50 years of marriage. She was a homemaker and after the retirement of her husband, owned and operated Aunt Weaver’s Kettle Corn, operating at many community fairs and events. She was a member of the 19 North Community Church. Lena had a passion for the less fortunate and actively participated in Sue Thomas Ministries, Operation Silent Night, offering encouragements and compassion to those in need.
She is survived by her husband, Albert, Jamestown; a daughter, Freda (Norman) Byler, Farmville, VA.; a son Phil (Loretta) Weaver, Heron, MT.; a sister, Kathryn (Eli P.) Weaver, Huntsville, OH.; two brothers, Lee Roy Miller, Munfordville, KY. And David R.S. (Katie) Miller, Middlefield, OH; 9 grandchildren, Douglas, Luke, Abby and Charity Byler, Janae, Jordan, Dallas, Landon and Alyssa Weaver.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step father, Floyd Chupp; a grandson, Dustin Weaver; three sisters, Sarah Hershberger, Savanah Miller and Dena Troyer.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Pleasantview Conservative Mennonite Church, 3488 County Line Road, Cochranton. She will be laid to rest at the Grace Mennonite Church Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Church on Tuesday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be available for viewing late Wednesday evening at www.snyderfh.com.
