Leland C. Osborne, formerly of Fredonia Road, Greenville (Hempfield Twp.) passed away early Sunday morning, January 31, 2021 at the Clepper Manor, Sharon. He was 96.
Leland was born on January 1, 1925 a son of the late Thomas C. and Hallie M. (Filson) Osborne. On March 5, 1948 he married the former Donna Jean Cook who had preceded him in death on March 18, 1990. He had been employed by the former Speirs Homes, Inc., Hadley retiring after 31 years of service.
He was a US Navy Veteran serving with the U.S. Navy during WWII, a member of the Jerusalem Christian Church, Greenville, a life member of the Pymatuning Boat Club and in her earlier years was active with the Boy Scouts of America.
He is survived by a daughter, Karen L. Krumpak and her husband Richard, Greenville; a son, David W. Osborne and his wife Vickie, Texas; a brother, H. Thomas Osborne, Albion; two grandchildren, Ken (Sue) Walters and Dawn (Steve) Hughes; 5 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Leland was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Donna; a son, Larry Osborne; two brothers, Robert Osborne and Scott Osborne and three sisters, Helene Beil, Donna Johnston and Jessie Gearhart.
A memorial service will be held at a later date, Leland will be interred next to his wife of 42 years at the Jerusalem Cemetery, Greenville.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 169 Second Street, Fredonia.
