Joyce Ann (Fairfax) Nunnally

Joyce Ann “Corky” Nunnally, Meadville (Vernon Twp.) passed away in her residence on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.  She was 68.

She was born in Manassas, VA on Sept. 27, 1951 a daughter of the late Homer B. and Eloise (Cornwell) Fairfax.  She had been employed by Peoples Life Insurance from which she had retired from after 23 years of service.

Corky as she was affectionately known to her family and friends was of the Christian faith, with her bubbly personality, she was always full of fun and easily able to make friends.  She enjoyed socializing with her sister, Pam and always enjoyed listening to her brother Wayne as he would play blue grass music on the banjo and fiddle.

She is survived by her companion, Robert Martin, Meadville, 3 sisters, Janet Baltzelle, VA., Darlene Mills, VA. and Pamela (Roland) Turner, Cochranton; 4 brothers, Warren B. (Joy) Fairfax, Wayne Fairfax, Robert John (Brenda) Fairfax and Donald (Pat) Fairfax.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Jennifer Oleyar and her siblings, Homer Stanley Fairfax, Ronnie Fairfax, Ellen Korzendorfer, Audry Polo, Betty Hope and Charlotte Hancock.

Due to the Covid 19 concerns, the family will be honoring Joyce’s life privately with Janice Good, pastor of the Sheakleyville Presbyterian Church officiating.  She will be laid to rest at the Sheakleyville Cemetery.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family online at www.snyderfh.com.  Arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of the Robert L.
