Joann E. Kepple, Stoneboro passed away early Saturday morning, July 3, 2021 at the Hospitality Care Center, Hermitage. She was 77.
Joann was born in Trenton, NJ on July 18, 1943 a daughter of the late Joseph and Virginia (Hamer) Luchi. On August 2, 1965 she married Dale A. Kepple, Sr. who preceded her in death on May 15, 2007. She was an avid horse trainer, whose love for horses never ceased, when she was no longer able to physically care for horses, she began collecting model horses. She enjoyed attending horse shows and fairs and as her passion grew into collecting the model horses, she would often travel with her daughter exhibiting her collection of horse models along with sharing her vast knowledge of horses in general. Joann also enjoyed doing embroidering and raising German Shepard’s. She enjoyed travelling and the times that she could be with her family and was especially fond of the moments she was able to be gathered with her grandchildren.
She is survived by three children, Karen L. (Brian) Dietrich, Jamestown, Patricia A. Kepple, Pahrump, NV and Robert Alabiso, Hudson, Florida; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and a son, Dale A. Kepple, Jr.
A celebration of Joann’s life will be held at a later date, she will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Westmoreland County.
