Franklin "Bud" M. Ekis, Jr.

Franklin M. “Bud” Ekis,Jr. of Atlantic (Greenwood Twp.) passed away unexpectedly at his residence Wednesday evening, March 3, 2021 of natural causes.  He was 67.

He was born in Smicksburg, PA on October 3, 1953 a son of the late Franklin M. and Ruby A. (Truitt) Ekis, Sr.  He had previously been employed with Arrow Forge and Vernon Towing.  He had served dutifully and honorably with the U.S. Marines.

Bud is survived by three sisters, Nancy Davison, Cochranton, Lilly Ekis, Atlantic, Robin Hays, Meadville; a brother Ken Ekis and his wife Christina of Atlantic and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Linda Deeter and Mabel Ongley and a brother John Ekis.
