Evelyn Jane (Williams) Johnston

Evelyn Jane Johnston, formerly of Cochranton, Greenwood Twp.) passed away at the Addison Health Care Center, Masury, OH on Sunday, April 3, 2022.  She was 85.

Evelyn was born on March 31, 1937, a daughter of the late Marshall and Mildred (Stevenson) Williams.  Jane as she was known to her family and friends was a graduate of Conneaut Lake High School where she was in the top 10 of her class.  Through her working career she had been in sales and had retired from Olan Mills portraits.  She is remembered by her family as a wonderful mother and grandmother and  also for her amazing cooking and baking skills. She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Timothy J. Johnston, York and his children, McKenna Johnston, Philadelphia and Shawn Johnston, Philadelphia; a half-brother, Donald B. (Karen) Williams,Meadville; three half-sisters, Edna (John) Crooks, Cochranton, Kathy (William) Brown, Cochranton and Susan (Larry) Holben, Cochranton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step mother, Edna F. (Dygert) Williams and a half-brother, Robert M. Williams

The funeral and committal service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022, at 4:00 PM at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Joy Mumford, pastor of the Faith United Methodist Church officiating.  She will be laid to rest at the Williams Cemetery.  Family and friends will be received in the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
