Ernest "Ernie" J. Adams

Ernest “Ernie” J. Adams,  Hartstown, (S. Shenango Twp.) passed away at 11:58 pm on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the Meadville Medical Center with his beloved family by his side. He was 67.

Mr. Adams was born in Sharon on July 18, 1952 a son of the late Alfred and Mary (Calender) Adams on May 14, 1994 he married the former Esther Sue Iliff who survives.  He was a U.S. Army veteran having worked with missiles and then completed his military service with the Army Reserves where he was tasked with the responsibility of maintaining the weapons cache and was involved in water purfication.  He had been employed by Advanced Cast, Meadville.

Ernie loved to play poker with his family and friends, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and appreciated the loyalty and companionship of his two dogs, Chloe and Rusty.

In addition to his wife, Esther Sue, he is survived by three sons, Mathew James Adams, Hartstown, Mark David (Carissa) Adams, Warren, OH and Nathan Paul Adams, Carnegie; a brother, Frank “Butch’ Adams, Parker; a sister Pam Ziccardi, Parker; two brother in laws, Ed Iliff and Philip Iliff, Atlantic; 5 grandchildren, Theodore James Adams, Noah Parker Warner Adams, Connor Lee Adams, Logan Cole Warner Adams and Kaiden Reid Warner Adams; Two special nephews, Norman Ziccardi and Ken Adams along with several additional nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters, Connie Holes and Della Morrison; a brother Kenneth “Jumbo” Adams and a nephew Jerry Morrison.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Rev. Michael D. Marshall officiating.  The interment with military honors will follow at the Hadley Cemetery.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 -4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM and are invited to share memories and condolences online at www.sndyerfh.com
