Elaine A. Kocholek, Greenville passed away in the comfort of her home early Thursday morning, November 3, 2022. She was 69.
She was born in Greenville on May 25, 1953, a daughter of the late Charles and Rebecca (DeWolf) Bortz. On December 12, 1972, she married John Martin Kocholek who had preceded her in death on September 14, 2014. She was a homemaker, an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan, and loved playing Bingo and camping. Her life was centered around her family who affectionately referred to her as “The Boss”. She attended the Greenville Salvation Army Worship Center and the Bethel Life Worship Center, Greenville.
She is survived by her children, John Michael (Jennifer) Kocholek, Kimberly (John) Plischke, Greensburg and Christine Kocholek and her fiancé, John McKelvey, Guntersville, AL; two sisters, Jessica Burnette, Jamestown and Bonnie (Paul) Elliott, Geneva, OH; Three brothers, Terry (Charlene) Bortz, FL, Jerry (Tammy) Bortz, Viena, OH and Lucky Bortz, Geneva, OH; 3 grandchildren, Brittany, Tyler, and Cody Cullen and a great-granddaughter, Alexis Cullen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a granddaughter, Ikea Bortz, and two sisters, Linda Borowski and Sue Baggiossi.
A celebration of Elaine’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 3:00 pm at the Bethel Life Worship Center, 246 S. Mercer Street, Greenville with Pastor Kent Bell officiating.
