Donna Lee (Hall) Alter

Donna Lee Alter, a resident of the Crawford County Care Center formerly of Greenwood Twp., Cochranton went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday morning, August 29, 2023. She was 90.

She was born in Geneva on January 25, 1933, a daughter of the late Seldon and Zella (Abbott) Hall.  On June 16, 1951, she married her husband of 68 years, George Alter who preceded her in death on August 24, 2019.  She had been employed by the former Cochranton Co-Op for over 25 years as a bookkeeper. Donna was a member of the Alida Smith Wesleyan Methodist Church, Meadville.

She is survived by a daughter in law, Sherry Alter, 2 granddaughters and two great grandsons along with several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George and a son Cary L. Alter, a brother, Gordon Hall and a sister Shirley Ann Hall.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2013, at 1:00 PM at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy, Sheakleyville with Rev. William Cope, pastor of the Alida Smith Wesleyan Methodist Church officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Geneva Memorial Cemetery.  Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 AM  – 1:00PM and may share memories and condolences with the family online at www.snyderfh.com
