Donald L. Hays

Donald L. Hays, Sheakleyville  passed away unexpectedly at the Meadville Medical Center on Sunday, April 18, 2021, He was 86.

Donald was born in Deer Creek Twp. on January 19, 1935 a son of the late Ernest and Sarah (Clark)  Hays.  On February 23, 1973 he married the former Dorothy A. Snearline who preceded him in death on January 28, 2006.  Don had been employed by Crystal Industries, Meadville from where he retired.  In his younger years he had work with his brother-in-law, John Partridge doing logging and had also owned and operated Don Hays Auto Wrecking.  He had attended the Mount Hope United Methodist Church, Sandy Lake and was a member of the Cochranton Sportsman Club.

He is survived by two sons, Randy Hays and James Hays; a sister, Ethel Partridge, Sandy Lake and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Daniel Hays; 4 brothers, Samuel Hays, Merle Hays, Everett Hays and Harry Hays; 2 sisters, Mae McQuiston and June Consula and an infant sister.

The funeral and committal service will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Lisa Grabb, pastor of the Sheakleyville Nazarene Church officiating.  Don will be laid to rest next to his wife and son at the Sheakleyville Cemetery.  Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 11:00am to 2:00 pm and may share memories and condolences with the family online at www.snyderfh.com
