Diane Julianna Buck, of Sandy Creek Township, Hadley, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022, at UPMC Mercy, Pittsburgh. She was 74.
She was born in Trenton, NJ on June 19, 1948, a daughter of the late Julia (Molnar) and Joseph Francis Dunigan, Sr. On September 17, 1966, she married Effinger J. Buck, who preceded her in death on July 29, 2010. While living in New Jersey, Diane was employed by McGraw Hill Publishing. After moving to the area, she worked at St. Paul’s in Greenville as well as Mercer Greenhouse and most recently in private home health care. Diane was of the Catholic faith having formerly attended St. Michael’s Church in Greenville. Diane’s life centered around her grandchildren and great grandchildren who would affectionately refer to her as “mom mom”.
She is survived by her children, Billie Jo Lynn Rhoades of Greenville, Timothy James Buck of Sandy Lake, Robert Kenneth Buck of Hadley, Shane Michael Buck of Jamestown; two brothers, Joseph F. Dunigan, Jr., of Broomsfield, CO, and Donald Dunigan of Hamilton, NJ; ten grandchildren, Robert, Andrew, and Kacee Gilliland, Amanda Garansi, Kimberly Hennegan, Nichole Stowell, Samantha Buck, Kaylee Buck, Justine Meyer, Joseph Buck and 13 great grandchildren.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Richard L. Dunigan.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, at 11:00am at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Deacon Marty Aubel officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, September 1, 2022, from 4:00-7:00pm and Friday 10:00-11:00am. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Hadley Cemetery.
