Deanna A. (Andrews) Stright

Deanna A. (Andrews) Stright, Sheakleyville passed away on March 29, 2023, at the Marquette Hospice House, Meadville.  She was 82.

Deanna was born in Meadville on April 27, 1940, a daughter of the late Kenneth G. and Evelyn (Dickey) Andrews.  She was a 1958 graduate of Meadville High School. On December 22, 1960, she married David Wayne Stright who preceded her in death on November 29, 2019.  Mrs. Stright had been employed in the accounting department of the former Talon, Meadville, and later as a teacher’s aid for the Commodore Perry School District.   She was affiliated with the Sheakleyville United Methodist Church. Along with her husband, Deanna enjoyed restoring antique travel trunks.  She also enjoyed caring for those in need and tending to her flower gardens.

She is survived by her daughters, Tracy (Jim) McLaughlin, Westminster, MD. and Allison Clapper, Greenville; a sister, Donna Mullen, Meadville, a brother, Ralph Andrews, Townville, her best friend, Nancy Shea, Meadville; 3 grandchildren whom she adored, Kasanda Milligan, OH, Dr. Lindsay McCartney and her husband Dr. Derek Sampey, Ventura, CA, and Jordan (Allison) McCartney, Erie and several beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister Doris Hazen

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville, she will be laid to rest next to her husband Wayne at the New Lebanon Cemetery.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 3:00 – 7:00 PM.   

The family has suggested that memorial tributes may be made to the Sheakleyville Community Vol. Fire Department.
