Bobby A Johns, 89, of Sarver, PA, passed away Sunday, Oct. 23rd at the home he built with his wife Ann, whom he had been with for 61 years.
Born August 10, 1933, in Bridgeburg, PA, Bobby was raised by his mother Ailene Johns and Andrew Johns. He attended East Brady High School before enlisting in the US Air Force. He served in Okinawa during the Korean Conflict as an Airman 1st Class. Then, he owned a barbershop in Brookville and eventually retired after 42 years at Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation in Brackenridge.
He had attended Brush Valley Brethren Church in Adrian. Bobby loved people and to talk. He was eager to engage people, even strangers, in conversation and would always put a smile on their faces. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved to go on rides, especially back to Adrian where he grew up.
He is survived by children Valrena Johns-Schultze, Steve Johns, Todd Johns, Gaileen Johns, Aaron Johns, 16 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
Bobby was preceded in death by his first wife Kuzuko Johns, his son Kim Johns, and 3 grandchildren.
Private family services will be held and Bobby will be laid to rest at the Hadley Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville.
