Bernice (Eagle) Sorrell
Obituary
Bernice Sorrell, Linesville formerly of the Hadley area passed away Tuesday Afternoon, January 31, 2023, at the UPMC- Hamot, Erie. She was 79.
She was born in Port Huron, MI on January 21, 1944, a daughter of the late Earl and Mary (Mayers) Eagle. On April 14, 1962, she married Nathan Eugene “Gene” Sorrell who preceded her in death on December 17, 2008. Bernice was a homemaker, a devoted mother who enjoyed the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her children, Ed (Karen) Sorrell, Finksburg, MD., Paul Sorrell, Linesville, Kathy Zarecki, Linesville and Janet (Grant) Varner, Hadley. Her siblings, Donna Eagle, Emily Gubanche, Ruth Ann Eagle, and Gary Eagle all from Port Huron, MI. area. 6 grandchildren and I great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene, a son Allan Eugene Sorrell and 7 brothers and sisters.
The family will be privately honoring the life of Bernice. She will be laid to rest next to her husband.
The Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville is assisting the family with the arrangements.
