Ben A. Byler, Greenville passed away on March 13, 2023, at his residence of natural causes. He was 69.
He was born in Perry Township on June 21, 1953, a son of the late Albert B. and Amanda (Byler) Byler. Ben had been employed by the former Greenville Steel Car and later at Hodge Foundries from where he retired. He was a member of the Greenville Moose Club # 276 and was an avid euchre player and participated in many euchre tournaments.
He is survived by his daughter, Rachel (Paul) Murgola, Cortland, Ohio, two grandchildren, Gracie and Kalib; 5 sisters; Barbara Miller and her husband Jonas of Quaker City, Ohio, Saloma Byler of Transfer, Martha Byler of Clarks Mills, Emma Byler of Fredonia and Mary Schlabach and her husband Wallie of Smicksburg, Pa.; 6 brothers; Eli Byler and his wife Anna of Fredonia, John Byler and his wife Mary of Fredonia, Albert Byler, Jr and his wife Linda of Fredonia, Joseph Byler of Cresco, Pa., Jacob Byler and his wife Susan of Atlantic, and Tobias Byler and his wife Anna Mary of Clarks Mills.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Sara Miller, Nancy Hostetler Harvey Byler
The funeral and committal service will be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville. He will be laid to rest at the Perry Chapel Cemetery, Perry Twp. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 5:00 – 6:45 pm.
