Thomas R. Luckock, District Road, Greenville (Delaware Twp.) passed way Monday morning, September 24, 2018 at the Sharon Regional Health System. He was 76.
Thomas was born in Wikinsburg, PA on August 8, 1942 a son of the late Robert and Gertrude (Moody) Luckock. On June 30, 1984 he married the former Mary Jane Walter who survives. He was a graduate of the Pennsylvania State Police Municipal Police Training Center, Hershey and then went onto be employed with the Greenville Police Department and Greenville Fire Department from which he had retired. He then relocated to Texas where he was the past president of the International Word Processing and also had been a rancher. He later returned to Pennsylvania and was employed by the Lakeview Manor, Stoneboro in the maintenance department.
Tom was a charter member of the Lakeland Lodge # 88 Fraternal Order of Police, he had served as a past president of the Stoneboro Lions Club and had been a former member of the Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; two sons, Thomas R. Luckock and his wife Shelly of Jamestown and Michael Luckock and his partner Chuck, Dallas, Texas.; a daughter, Kimberly Scobbie-Byler and her husband Norm of Jamestown. Six grandchildren, Carlene Waite and her husband Terry, Scott Scobbie and his wife Sarah, Ben Scobbie, Thomas Luckock, Jessica Luckock and Brady Luckock and his wife Miranda; 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin sister, Bessie Stanley; a sister, Olive Thomas; a brother, Robert Luckock and an infant brother.
The funeral service will be held at 6:30 pm on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the Fredonia branch of the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 169 Second Street, Fredonia with Kenneth Saul, pastor of the Greenville First Church of God officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm and are invited to share memories and condolences online at www.snyderfh.com
The family has suggested that memorial tributes may be made to the American Heart Association.
