Shirley A. Lesnett, Greenville (Delaware Twp.) passed away in the comfort of her home on Sunday afternoon, November 10, 2019. She was 76.
Shirley was born on Greenville on June 13, 1943 a daughter of the late Dale and Gladys (Hittle) Mitchell. On June 22, 1963 she married Thomas L. Lesnett who preceded her in death on June 1, 2016. Shirley was a graduate of the first graduating class of the Reynolds High School, Class of 1961. She was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed being a mother to her two daughters. Shirley was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Greenville where she was actively participated in the many church activities and functions. She along with her husband had participated in the Greenville relay for Life with their daughter, Nadeana. She enjoyed the friendship of the neighborhood card ladies when they would gather together.
She is survived by her daughter, Christine ‘Buffy” Cadman and her husband Doug, Greenville; a brother, James Mitchell and his wife Lorie, Greenville; two sisters, Elaine “Tootie” Howsare and her husband Richard, Kennard and Nancy Murcko and her husband Michael, Kennard. Three granddaughters, Sierra Williams, Taylor Cadman and Tess Cadman and a great granddaughter, Seraphinalynn Williams.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas; a daughter Nadeana Arthur and a grandson Jesse Bielobocky.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church, 10 Beil Hill Road, Greenville with Pastor John Coleman officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Delaware Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 169 Second Street Fredonia on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 am until 10:45 am.
