Shirley V. Cooper, Meadville (Union Twp.) passed away Saturday evening, December 28, 2019 at the Meadville Medical Center. She was 84.
Shirley was born in Homestead, Pa. on February 14, 1935. She had been employed as a bar tender for Vernon Central Hose Company. She was of the Catholic faith, having attended St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church. She was a life member of the Vernon Central Hose Company, Station 23 and where she also was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed many trips to casino’s both locally and also to Las Vegas. She always enjoyed being able to gather and socialize with her many friends.
She is survived by her three daughters, Debra Perri and her husband Walter, Coraoplois, Linda Hazi, Pittsburgh and Charlene Greene, Washington; a sister, Lila Stewart, Dayton, OH.; three granddaughters, Kasey Osselborn and her husband K.J., Danielle and Alexis Perri; Several nieces and nephews and many special friends.
Respecting the wishes of Shirley, no services will be held, following cremation she will be laid to rest at the Rocky Glen Cemetery, Adamsville.
The family has suggested that memorial tributes may be made to the Vernon Central Hose Company, Meadville.
