Richard D. Palm. Hadley, (Sandy Creek Twp.) passed away at 7:40 pm On October 9, 2019 at the Allegheny General Hospital Pittsburgh with his family by his side. He was 75.
He was born in Geneva, Pa on November 9, 1943 a son of the late Stanley and Blanche C. (Pfaff) Palm. On May 8, 1964 he married the former Bonnie Turner who survives. Dick began his working career owning and operating a trucking business, he had been employed at the former R.D. Werner Company and had owned and operated Pabco Kustom for several years. He retired from Penn Power as the garage foreman following 27 years of service.
Dick was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed many years of hunting and fishing. In his later years he enjoyed the hobby of wildlife photography. He was a member of the Hadley Rod and Gun Club where he had been the treasurer for many years and was a member of the Sheakleyville Community Vol. Fire Department where he had been a past president.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie; a daughter, Deborah Marosy and her husband Bill, Mercer; two sons, Jeffrey Palm, Stoneboro and Ronald Palm, Hadley; a sister Phyllis Bailey, Atlantic,; two grandsons, Aaron Van Sickle and his wife Jackie and Brandon Van Sickle; two very special great granddaughters, Paislee and Penelope Van Sickle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, Harold and a sister, Nancy Stallsmith.
Respecting the wishes of Richard the family will honor and remember his life with private family services to be held at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville. He will be laid to rest at the Sheakleyville Cemetery.
