Loreda M. (Flint) Mitchell

Loreda M. Mitchell, Saltrock, WV. Formerly of Hadley (Salem Twp.) passed away early Friday morning, April 19, 2019 at the Wyngate Senior Living Center, Barboursville, WV.  She was  90.

She was born in Lookout, WV. On April 3, 1929 to the late Charles and Doris  (Howell) Flint.  On August 24, 1957 she married Norman Mitchell who preceded her in death on July 5, 2005.  Loreda had been employed as the head cashier at the A & P Food Market, Cleveland, OH and later was a bookkeeper for Chess Service, Sheakleyville.  She was a member of the North Salem Wesleyan Methodist Church.

Loreda is survived by her daughter, Patricia Eplin, West Hamlin, WV; a sister Wanda Smallwood and her husband Marshall of DE; a brother in law John and his wife Carol Mitchell, Marietta, OH; 3 grandchildren, Mark and Glenna Eplin, West Hamlin, WV, Sheila Sammons and Her companion Dan Garnes, Rutledge, TN and Shawnda and Rob Manns, West Hamlin, WV.; 4 great grandchildren, Joshua Adkins, Kaitlyn Eplin, Wade Manns and Grace Manns.  She is also survived by special friends and former neighbors, Reese, Darlene and Sheila Gregory, Hadley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son in law, Odell Eplin; two sisters and three brothers.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Rev. Michael D. Marshall, pastor of the North Salem Wesleyan Methodist Church officiating.   The committal service will follow at the Stevenson Cemetery where Loreda will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.  Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm time of service.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family online at www.snyderfh.com.
