Kenneth D. Miller

Kenneth D. Miller, Hartstown (E. Fallowfield Twp.) passed away at 1:20 pm on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at the UPMC Horizon-Shenango.  He was 79.

He was born in Meadville on January 26, 1939 a son of the late Vergal and Edna (Phillips) Miller. On June 26, 1959 he married the former Esther J. Powell who together had celebrated 59 years of marriage.  He had been employed as a foreman at the former Rusco Industries, Greenwood Twp. and then went onto work at the Salem Tubes Inc., Greenville.  Kenneth appreciated the companionship and loyalty of his dog “Rusty”  he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed deer hunting and  took great pride in the maintaining of his yard and always enjoyed riding his tractor mowing the 5 acres of land.  He was an crafty handyman and is remembered by his family for his sense of humor and being the jokester and the life of the party.

He is survived by his wife, Esther; a son, Brad Miller and his companion Sheila Nickels, Hartstown; a daughter, Brenda Eicher and her husband Richard of St. Petersburg, Florida; 3 grandchildren, Aaron Miller, Tawnya Eicher and Tamara Eicher and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.,

Honoring the request of Ken, a private family service will be held with Ben Zeigler, Assistant pastor of the Oak Grove Church officiating.  Ken will then be laid to rest at the Rocky Glenn Cemetery, Adamsville.
