Karen L. Kitch, Erie formerly of Greenville passed away at 2:39 pm Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Village at Lutheran Square, Erie following complication of a recent stroke. She was 72.
She was born in Meadville on January 21, 1946 a daughter of the late Lester Martin and Ada Bonita (Brandon) Wood. On October 25, 1980 she married Virgil L. Kitch who had preceded her in death on December 7, 2015. Karen was a member of the Jerusalem Christian Church, Greenville.
She is survived by a daughter, Robin Keisel, Erie; two step son’s, Arthur (Mary) Kitch, Medina, OH and Jay (Marlene) Kitch of Greenville; two step daughters, Jeanette Kitch, Meadville and Shirley Anthony, Cochranton; 5 brothers, David Wood, Conneautville, Donald (Laura) Wood, New Hampshire, Gordon (Ruth) Wood, Butler, LeRoy Wood, Sandy Lake and Robert (Charlotte) Wood, Meadville; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by, her parents and her husband.
A Celebration honoring the life of Karen will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with John Canon, pastor of the Jerusalem Christian Church officiating.
