Janice M. Black

May 20, 1935 ~ December 3, 2017 (age 82) 82 Years Old

 

Janice M. Black, Jackson center (Finley Twp.) passed away at the St. Paul’s Home on Sunday, December 3, 2017.  She was 82.

 

Janice was born in Mercer, on May 20, 1935 a daughter of the Arthur and Ethel Amos.  In 1954 she married Glenn Richard Black who preceded her in death in 1987.  Janice had been employed at the Countryside Nursing Home, Mercer and later at the Wal Mart in Grove City. Janice enjoyed her cats, watching the birds at her feeder, Deer, Turkey and Bear.  She took great pride in her family and will be tremendously missed by all.

 

She is survived by a daughter, Debra Weaver and her husband Ron of Greenville; 2 sons, Steven Eugene Black and his wife Pamela of Jackson Center and James Black and his wife Vicky of Barkeyville.

A daughter in law, Sherry Black of Colorado.  1 sister, Charlotte Urey of Mercer, 12 grandchildren Jennifer,Tiffany, Danielle, Lisa, Justin,Aaron, Adam, Bobbie, Mandy, Mary, Steve and Kelly, 31 great grandchildren and 1 great great Grandchild.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband a son Dan Richard Black, two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Amos and Joan Amos and a brother Charles Amos.

 

Private family services were held on Wednesday at the Robert L:. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 169 Second Street Fredonia with Rev. Eric Peters, pastor of the Fredonia Presbyterian Church officiating.  The interment was at the Millbank cemetery.
