Fred D. Kehlbeck, Brentwood Drive, Greenville (Pymatuming Twp.) passed away at 5:50 pm on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the Sharon Regional Health Systems. He was 80.
He was born in Woepse, Germany on December 25, 1937 a son of the late Johann and Dora (Schroeder) Kehlbeck. On February 3, 1962 he married the former Barbara Czwojdak who survives.
Fred and his family owned and operated the former Kehlbeck’s Greenhouse, Mercer. He was of the Lutheran faith and had served with the U.S. Army Reserves.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 sons’ Henry Kehlbeck and his wife Christy of Myersville, MD. and John Kehlbeck and his wife Paula of Marysville, OH; 3 daughters, Frances Civello and her husband John of Hummelstown, Maria Grimm and her husband Russell of Hillsboro, OH and Joanne Kehlbeck and her husband Joe Suhrada; a brother, Henry Kehlbeck and his wife Sigrid of Mellinghausen, Germany. 7 grandchildren, Chloe Kehlbeck, Alexa Kehlbeck, John Grimm, Carly Civello, Declan Kehlbeck, Matthew Kehlbeck and Kai Civello.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Johann and a sister Aenne.
A celebration of the life of Fred will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 169 Second Street, Fredonia with Rev. Eric Peters, pastor of the Fredonia Presbyterian Church officiating. Fred will be laid to rest at the Millbank Cemetery.
