Eugene J. Bayuk

Eugene J. Bayuk, Greenville (Otter Creek Twp.) passed away early Tuesday morning, February 26, 2019 in the comfort of his home with his family by his side.  He was 61.

He was born on March 9 1957 in Greenville, a son of the late Joseph J. and Julia (Hornak) Bayuk.  On August 15, 1994 he married the former Cecilia M. Valesky who survives at home.   Gene had been employed for over 33 years at the former R.D. Werner, Company, Greenville.  He had been a driver for several years for A.H. Hostetler Masonry, Carlton.    He was of the Catholic faith and a member of the Greenville Knights of Columbus.  He enjoyed the out of doors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  His love for reading gave him the ability to be very knowledgeable in many aspects, especially with facts relating to history.  He delighted in cooking and enjoyed the time he shared with his family.  Gene was a skilled woodworker, with his talents revealed throughout his home as evidenced in the kitchen cabinets and furniture that he had made.

He is survived by his wife, Cecilia; twin daughters, Austyn and Michaela Bayuk at home; 3 sons, Andrew Linn and his wife Jenna of Espyville, Matthew Linn and his wife Jenifer of  Hermitage and Jeremy Linn and his wife Michaela of Perryville, Md.; a sister Cindy Salerno and her husband John of Bristolville, OH.; three grandsons, Camden Linn, Owen Linn and Lucas Linn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Joseph Bayuk and a sister Rebecca Bayuk.

A Celebration of the Life of Eugene will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Jerusalem Christian Church, 560 Donation Road, Greenville with Pastor John Canon, officiating.  Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and are invited to share memories and condolences with the family online at snyderfh.com
