Elizabeth (Antis) Marsh

Elizabeth (Betty) Antis Marsh, formerly of Atlantic went home to be with her Savior the LORD JESUS on January 11, 2018.  She was residing at the Villa’s at St. Paul’s, Greenville.  She was 96.

She was born on July 11, 1921 in East Pittsburgh, PA., the 7th child of Thomas and Elizabeth (Stevenson) Antis.  She had been married to William Marsh, Sr .who had preceded her in death.  Betty had been employed by Toteline, Linesville now known as MFG.  She was a member of the Greenville Missionary Alliance Church and the Atlantic Grange.  She did volunteer work at the St. Paul’s Nursing Home in Greenville from June 1991 until 2014.  Betty enjoyed travelling and had visited all fifty states either by car, bus, train, airplane and also by the Alaskan Ferry Boat.

She is survived by her 4 children, Arthur Marsh of Stratford, N.J., Judy Maurice and her husband Gerald of Piedmont, S.C., Elaine Stallard and her husband Bill of Conneaut Lake and Shirley Metz and her husband Steve of Harmony.  One sister Mary Cline of Atlantic, 16 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 4 brothers, Thomas Antis, Watson Antis, William Antis and Edward Antis; 2 sisters, Anna Dienstbier, Catherine Carl, a son, William Marsh, Jr., her daughter-in-law Edith Marsh, daughter-in-law June Marsh and a great grandson Connor McGraw.

A Celebration of the life of Betty will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville.  Betty will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband at the Stevenson Cemetery.   Memories and condolences may be shared with the family online at snyderfh.com.
