Barbara Jean (Gravatt) Sires

Barbara Jean Gravatt Sires, Utica, Pa. formerly of Clarks Mills, passed away at 7:38 pm on Saturday, May, 18, 2019 at the Sugar Creek Station, Franklin.  She was 85.

Barbara was born in Fredonia, Pa on May 15, 1934 a daughter of the late John and Juanita Faye (Vickers) Gravatt. On November 21, 1950 she married Paul W. (Ike) Sires who preceded her in death on June 3, 2001.  She was a homemaker and had previously attended the Clarks Mills United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a son James R. Sires and his wife Andrea of Pomano Park, Fl.; three daughters, Patricia Jolley and her husband John, Utica, Robin Arbuckle, Cooperstown and Kimberly Smith and her husband Bradley, Hadley. 6 grandchildren, Carl Jason (Haylee) Jolley, Weeki Wachee, FL., Eric Jolley, Utica, Rebecca Smith, Bliss, NY, Vicki (Brian) Swatrzbeck, Pomona Beach, FL., Amelia Smith, Hadley and Clayton Smith, Hadley and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Dale Gravatt and two grandchildren, James R. Sires, Jr. and Neil D. Jolley

Following family services, Barbara will be laid to rest at the Perry Chapel Cemetery next to her husband.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of the  Robert L.
