John H. Kasbee of Hadley peacefully passed away on April 16, 2024. He was 70 years old and is survived by his mother Shirley Kasbee, siblings Joyce and John Chess, James and Dianne Kasbee and Julia and Christopher Vincent. His two daughters Jennifer and Shayna are also surviving. Both daughters have married and live in Southern California. Jennifer married Michael Fernandes and together they have a 15-year-old son James Lucas Fernandes. Shayna married David Park in 2015.
John was born on July 7, 1953, at Meadville Hospital. He worked for several years at Elder’s John Deere in Stoneboro and was a part of the sales team. John loved farming and helping farmers to invest in quality tools and equipment. But he retired from Warner Trucking Company in 2020.
After retirement, he took up gardening and discovered his green thumb. His favorite place to vacation was any place by the ocean. He enjoyed traveling, but you could often find him hanging locally at County Line and Aunt Bee’s. The perfect day for John was one that ended with a nice hot bath.
John was blessed with an amazing family. He was grateful for his siblings, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews who offered unwavering support and encouragement. The past year was filled with health challenges, but his siblings and extended family provided kindness, hospitality, and love. His daughters are eternally thankful for their family and the staff at The Grove in Greenville. They went above and beyond to ensure that John was always well-fed and that they could always connect with him.
Private family services will be held and John will be laid to rest at the Hadley Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville.
