Thomas Arthur Heim, Sewickley passed away at 6:50 pm on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford following a brief illness. He was 72.
He was born on March 17, 1944 in Mercer a son of the late Clyde Wallace and Elizabeth Ann (Frey) Heim. Tom was a 1962 graduate of Lakeview High School and continued his education graduating in 1967 from Grove City College. He was licensed as a professional engineer in several states and had worked for Westinghouse, Sunbeam Equipment Corporation, Brickmont, LOI/LPE, and most recently ED3 Consultants. On March 28, 1980 he married the former Judy Flaugh who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Douglas Heim and his wife Rose of Silver Spring, MD; a brother Frank Heim and his wife Mary of North Olmstead, Ohio; Six grandchildren, Justin Zendrosky and his wife Melissa of Chesapeake, VA, Kimberly Maclntire and her husband Kevin of Nashville, TN, John Zendrosky of Toccoa, GA, Heather Heim of Lynchburg, VA, Amy Heim of Toccoa, GA, Douglas Heim of Silver Spring, MD. Five great grandchildren and his former wife, Bonita Baker of Greenville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Mabel Heim and a brother Clyde Wallace Heim Jr.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville, with the Rev. Temple Jarrell, pastor of the New Beginning Church of God, Meadville officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at the New Lebanon Cemetery.
