Regina L. “Tina” Kristyak, Lake Road, Cochranton, Greenwood Twp., passed away at 7:15 am at her residence on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 following a courageous 6 ½ year battle with cancer. She was 55.
She was born in Zwzibrucken, Germany on May 22, 1960. On August 28, 1980 she married her loving husband, George A. Kristyak who survives. Tina as she was known to her family and friends was homemaker and enjoyed the out of doors. She was particularly fond of watching the deer come into her back yard and graze. She enjoyed the companionship of her dog, Whiskey.
In addition to her husband of 35 years, she is survived by a daughter, Jutta Zimmer-Kristyak and her fiancée Bryan Shiner of Cochranton, a sister, Monika Brugger and her husband Walter of Germany, a God son, Bjorn Brugger of Germany, her husband’s siblings which became her American family, Cindy Baird and her James of Jamestown, Laurrie Nottingham and her husband Albert of Adamsville, Valerie Gilmore and her companion Duane Lewis of Greenville, Ruth Ridgeway and her husband Drew of Greenville, Crystal Azzarello and Marcia Azzarello and her companion Rick Vincent of Harmonsburg and John Kristyak and his wife Joanne of Hadley.
She was preceded in death her sister, Elizabeth, a brother in law Thomas Kristyak, her father and mother in laws, John and Ruth Kristyak and Orca Harnett.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry, Sheakleyville with pastor Jeremy McClain of the Harvest Baptist Church, Greenville officiating. The committal service and interment will follow at the Sheakleyville Cemetery.
