Mary Luella Thomas, 91 formerly of 1055 Scofield Road, Hadley (Sandy Creek Twp.) went home to meet the Lord at 2:30 pm Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the St. Paul’s Home, West Salem Twp.
She was born on July 4, 1924 in Hadley a daughter of the late Frank and Donna (Free) Davison, she married Mason Thomas on March 29, 1945 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 2003.
Mary enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking, baking, jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her four daughters, Mrs. William (Lois) Currens of Grand Prairie, Texas, Donna Thomas, Mrs. Henry (Norma) Roberts and Cindy Stoyer all of Greenville; a brother, John Davison of Hadley, a sister, Lillian Ekholm of Jefferson, Ohio and four grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Edna Pears and Martha Bailey; two brothers, Harold Davison and Frank Davison.
The funeral and committal service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 3:00 pm at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Rev. Timothy Bowser, pastor of the Sheakleyville United Methodist Charge officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Stevenson Cemetery, Greenville. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00- 3:00 pm and are invited to share memories and condolences with the family at snyderfh.com
