Leo W. Fry, Grandview Drive, Hadley (Perry Twp.) passed away at 6:15 am on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at his residence. He was 86.
Leo was born in Salem Twp. on October 1, 1929 a son of the late Austin and Daisy (Capell) Fry, Sr. On March 16, 1950 he married the former Shirley J. Pressler who survives. Leo had been employed by the former Greenville Steel Car which later became known as Trinity Industries from which he retired.He had attended the Sheakleyville United Methodist Church. Leo had served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and had been stationed in Okinawa.
In addition to his wife of 66 years, he is survived by a son Robert Fry of Greenville and a daughter Melissa Fry of Erie.
He was preceded in death by 6 brothers, Vernon Fry, Floyd Fry, Forrest Fry, Austin Fry, Jr., Clarence Fry and George Fry; 3 sisters, Naomi Grossman, Sadie McGowan and Evangeline Cook.
Private family services will be held with Rev. Michael D. Marshall, pastor of the North Salem Wesleyan Methodist Church officiating. The interment will be at the Hadley Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Greenville VFW Post # 3374. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of the Robert L.
