Lawrence E. “Larry” Cochran, 341 E. Jamestown Road, Greenville formerly of Cranberry Twp., Venango County went to be with the Lord on Thursday evening, June 4, 2015 with his family by his side at the St. Paul’s Home following a courageous 6 year battle with cancer.  He was 89.

He was born on November 16, 1925 in Rouseville, Pa a son of the late Mont Thomas and Irene Elisabeth DeArment Cochran.  On May 22, 1981 he married the former Margaret (Peggy) McWhirter Fry who survives .  Larry as he was known to his family and friends, served with the  U.S. Navy during W.W.II in the South Pacific Theater.  He had retired from the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 310, Tucson, AZ, The Haskel Linen Co., Tucson, AZ and the M&M Mars Candy Co. now known as Master Foods of Waco, TX.  In his early years he had been employed by Pennzoil, Hunter and Wilson and Barrel Works.  He attended Rouseville and Oil City Schools. He enjoyed varied hobbies including, wood crafts, building, fishing and hunting. He found his greatest pleasure in helping other and serving the Lord.  He is remembered as being a prayer warrior.

In addition to his wife of 34 year who resides at the Colony at St. Paul’s Home are two sons, Larry Lamont Cochran and Keith Erwin Cochran of Tucson, AZ, a daughter Anneeta Pospesil of Mesa, AZ, a step son, Ronald Fraze and his wife Barbara of TX, a step daughter, Brenda Sue Fry of Minneola, Fl. 8 Grandchildren, several step grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.          

The family would like to thank UPMC, Horizon Greenville and Shenango Campus, The Villa’s at St. Paul’s and Family Hospice  for the care and concern that was shown to the family.

At the request of Larry, no visitation or services are being held.  He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Cranberry Twp.   Arrangements have been entrusted to Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville.  Condolences and memories may be shared with the family online at www.snyderfh.com.
