Judith A. Carone, Walnut Street, Stoneboro passed away at 2:15 pm on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Grove City Medical Center. She was 74.

She was born in Mercer, on January 5, 1941 a daughter of the late Homer and Margaret (Syling) Watts.She was a 1959 Graduate of the Lakeview High School.On September 12, 1959 she married James H. Carone who survives.She was employed at the former Sanford Drug Store and later worked alongside her husband in the family business of Carone’s Sunoco and Carone’s Market all of Stoneboro.Judy was community oriented and was an active member of the Stoneboro Historical Society and enjoyed helping others within the community.She loved her family and enjoyed making daily lunch for her son in-law Ronald Gilliland and always provided a snack to her grandchildren when they arrived home after school. She enjoyed many family vacations to the beach at the Outer Banks. Judith was an avid gardener who enjoyed canning the produces she would grow in her garden.She also enjoyed growing and tending toher floral plants.  She was a collector of Elvis and Mickey Mouse Memorabilia.She always enjoyed going to her niece Shawna (Watts) Reed to have her hair done.  She was of the Christian Faith.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, a daughter, Christine Williams and her husband Tom of Jamestown, two sisters in laws, Eileen Furey of Hadley and Patricia Marshall of Stoneboro. Three grandchildren, Michael Gilliland of Stoneboro, Mark Gilliland and his girlfriend Melissa Frye of Stoneboro and Michelle Gilliland of Stoneboro.Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Gary Watts.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville with Rev. Janet Pratt, pastor of the Methodist United in Faith Charge officiating.The committal service and interment will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm are invited to share memories and condolences online at www.snyderfh.com where a video may also be viewed

The family has suggested that memorial tributes may be made to the Stoneboro United Methodist Church, 32 Lake Street, Stoneboro, PA. 16153
