I have fond memories of Johnny. We were roommates in Houston for 4-5 years in the 1980's. He loved to work on cars. He had an old Sunbeam he fixed and got running. He also bought the frame for a 62 corvette. He bought a motor did all of the bodywork and produced a drivable car. He also liked to go waterskiing. Lastly, he loved live music. We went to many concerts together. We saw Stevie ray vaughn in a small bar before he became famous. We got to talk and shake his hand. I will miss him.

Our thoughts and prayers for John's family at this difficult time. John did carpentry and repair work for us and was a wonderful carpenter. He became a friend. He would visit, watch westerns on Tv with us, and tell of us of his adventures of living and working in other states. We will miss him.

To the Williamson Family,

Please know the members of the Class of 72 GHS are praying for all of you. I remember John well and appreciate getting to know him at GHS. Although my life's direction lead me away from Greenville I have never forgot the beautiful people there and especially my classmates. I pray that God will draw your hearts closer to Him and send His Spirit to be a comfort to all of you. Our 45th reunion is in about 10 days and I'm sure we will be remembering John during the weekend. God Bless!

I just read about the recent death of John and I know the Williamson family and loved ones have saddened hearts today. So I wanted to share beautiful scripture where our loving heavenly Father, Jehovah God, (Psalm 83:18), promises us that he is going to do away with man's greatest enemy, death. Rev. 21: 4; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises (Psalm 37:9-11, 29), including the resurrection. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40, John 11:23-25, Acts 24:15) Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: "is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago." Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it." For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Psalm 34:18 It is my prayer this scripture will give you comfort in your grief.
